The school is being run in the sweet memory of Late Sardar Beant Singh, a Freedom fighter, known Social worker, noble soul of area and vice president of Municipal Council Garhshankar. The school was started in 1982 with only 14 students under the supervision of Mrs. Surinder kaur Bains (M.A. B.Ed.) its first Principal and S. Rashpal Singh Bains (M.A M.Ed.) as its Director. Within a very short period, the school made remarkable achievements in the field of Education. School got affiliation to the Punjab School Education Board Mohali in 1988. Before we get affiliated to in April, 2012. The annual result of Punjab School Education Board Mohali were always 100% and students of 8th & 10th class have got District and State level positions and even have broken the academic records of the area. In 1991 Mr. Rashpal Singh Bains took the command of school as Principal. School always took active part in cultural competitions held by State Board and got position at Tehsil, Distt., zone and State level. School has produced a number of talented and intelligent students who rose to be Doctors, Engineers, good businessmen and are working on responsible posts in India and abroad. School celebrated its silver jubilee in 2007 and during this long tenure the school has not lost its grip on dedication and innovation. Now we are in the 37th glorious year of service having excellent infrastructure, CCTV surveillance, smart classes, extensive co-curricular activities and above all beautifully manicured lawns and spacious playground and a separate play area for Kindergarten. The school is a unique example of hardwork, success and discipline. The school has already carved a niche in the extensive area covering above 120 villages.
